When you have solar installed, you may produce more electricity than what you use. When that happens, any excess power that you generate then gets sent back to the grid. You’ll then be paid for those units via a credit on your bill, wonderful!
With this offer, you'll get our big 18 cent buy-back rate (excluding GST and discounts), this is the highest rate offered by any retailer with a fixed purchase rate*.
How this offer works
You’ll get our 18 cents per kWh buy-back rate for up to 500 units per billing cycle, this rate is fixed for the duration of your 2 year contract.
If you end up exporting more than 500 units back to the grid, you’ll switch to Mercury’s standard buy-back rate of 8.5 cents per kWh for the remainder of the month.
How to get our big 18 cent buy-back rate
1. Get your solar installed with Harrisons Solar.
2. If you’re not already a Mercury customer, we’ll get you signed up to Mercury on a 2 year electricity contract.
3. We’ll then install an import/export meter for free (if you don’t already have one), which will record any excess solar you generate.
