Hi, I’m Bruce Emerson, owner-operator of Harrisons Energy Solutions Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne City & Taupo District. Coming from a back ground of outstanding results and leadership within the environment and recycling industry spanning 15 years, investing in a Harrisons Energy Solutions franchise in 2014 was a natural next step.

I am passionate about the environment in a practical, common sense way so helping New Zealander’s discover the benefits of living in a more sustainable, energy efficient and warmer home makes complete sense to me.

Having previously been at the leading edge of the recycling industry as a former director and owner of 2008 Hawke’s Bay Supreme Business of the Year, 3R Group Ltd, I discovered you needed perseverance, passion and commitment to break the dominance of established businesses in the waste industry.

Today, there are a lot of similarities with our electricity utility companies and energy retailers who have existed in a monopoly market, whilst solar rapidly emerges as a viable technology and a creditable alternative to grid electricity.

Solar is changing our electricity landscape for the better and I’m just loving being part of the transition from 100% grid reliance to something a whole lot more sustainable and future proofed.
