Haier, the World’s number one brand of major home appliances, has highlighted the Australian and New Zealand Heating, Venting & Air Conditioning (HVAC) market as a key focus for growth and has launched a significant operation via Fisher & Paykel in Australia and New Zealand.
Haier Air Conditioning has been distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Fisher & Paykel since 2015 and Haier has plans to grow significantly to capture a greater share of the Australian and New Zealand market despite its maturity. In 2017 Haier will continue to roll out its new product introduction strategy in Australia and New Zealand reinforcing its commitment to the region. Haier is continually improving the efficiency and features of the existing range to ensure competitive price points as part of its five year product range expansion plan.
Expanding from the strong foundations built in 2016, this year will see Haier bring new products into New Zealand to add to its range of heat pumps. The all new T-series heat pump will replace the current Classic series product introduced last year and this brings to three the different ranges of heat pumps available from Haier Air Conditioning in New Zealand. All three come in 2.5kW, 3.5kW, 5.3kW and 7.0kW capacity and in the Premier mid-range product Haier Air Conditioning also have an 8kW capacity product.
All products are reverse cycle heat pumps and come with a 5 year warranty. They are loaded with features such as dry, self-clean, intelligent air flow, sleep mode, blue fin heat exchanger technology, Wi-Fi compatibility, Aqua Nano and long reach airflow. Further to the domestic heat pumps, Haier is also introducing a full range of Super Match multi head units and Smart Power light commercial units. Everyday heat pumps currently make up 90% of what Haier sells in New Zealand, but a lot of work has gone on over the last two years to introduce the light commercial and heavy commercial products into that market.
